Paedophile hunters are taking risks they don’t understand, the National police chiefs council leader for child protection has said.
Chief Constable Simon Bailey from Norfolk Constabulary headquarters, is determined to see as many paedophiles prosecuted successfully as possible, but fears that the success of securing the desirable number of convictions and protecting vulnerable victims is being compromised by paedophile hunters, despite their good intentions.
Paedophile hunters have long been an active group in the UK, members often joining forces to clamp down on dangerous paedophiles who constitute a serious danger to society. Usually disguised as young girls, Paedophile hunters go through a lot of trouble to catch those twisted and mentally depraved individuals who have a skewed appetite for young children. Bailey Spoke with The Eye Of Media.Com, as we extended some of our research into paedophiles, and the huge challenge facing police in keeping them away from the streets. Bailey has recently been vocal about his concerns about Paedophile hunters, despite their good will.
Chief Constable has previously made clear his displeasure with the continuation of the group and wants to see Paedophile Hunters leave the police to deal with serious cancer these group of people pose to society.

Expressing concern about the practice of trapping by paedophile hunters, Bailey said the group can undermine police investigations. Bailey told the Eye Of Media.Com:
“We understand the desire to protect children but any member of the public who has information about child sexual abuse, online or otherwise, should get in contact with the police so we can investigate and bring people to justice. So-called paedophile hunters are taking risks they don’t understand and can undermine police investigations. Most importantly, unlike our officers, they have no way of safeguarding child victims”.
