A man who strangled a woman to death during sex has been jailed for six years.
The High Court in Edinburgh heard Chloe Miazek, 20, died as a result of Mark Bruce’s actions at an Aberdeen flat on November 3, 2017. Ms Miazek’s lawyer confirmed on Thursday that the former carer accepted he did not get consent from his victim to choke her. The odd 32-year-old handed himself in to police within hours of the offence taking place and admitted his guilt before judge Lord Kinclaven last month.
Bruce was sentenced to six years in prison for culpable homicide, which was backdated to November when he was first remanded in custody. He is a maniac whose place is in the prison cell, people like Bruce are not fit to mix among normal people. It is incredulous that a man would strangle a woman during sex, nobody deserves to die in such horrid manner. Clearly, she was in bed with the devil without being aware of this. His six years sentence does no justice to her family because without her consent to choke her, it should have been concluded that he possibly killed her intentionally. Miazek is a brute whose sexual killing should serve as a warning to women to be extra careful who they date and chose to go to bed with. Miazek is nothing good to look at, no woman should have considered an ugly looking rough maniac like him. Many would say looks isn’t everything, but this animal looks grotesque and would not have been a caring individual to choke his bed lover. People as twisted as Miazek usually give signs of their strange tendencies.
In a statement released after court, Ms Miazek’s family said: “No matter the outcome today or what has been said in court, Chloe – our beautiful daughter – was a young girl in the prime of her life who did not deserve to die.
“She was thoughtful, caring and intelligent and was loved dearly by her entire family and many friends.
“Losing a child is every parent’s worst nightmare, but it’s a reality we now face.
“We will always remember Chloe for the loving girl she was and will forever try to keep that memory alive.”
