Rai Benjamin has been reinstated as the gold medal winner of the men’s 400m hurdles final in Tokyo. Benjamin, 27, crossed the finish line first in a time of 46.52 seconds. However, the American Olympic champion was initially disqualified after an official claimed he knocked down a hurdle. This incident caused a brief moment of confusion and drama after the race. The decision was overturned when it was shown that his action had no impact on the final result. The Rai Benjamin reinstated victory now stands.
