Footage from a protest in London showing a Metropolitan Police officer punching a protester has been released

The footage was released by a Khurdish news outlet, clearly aimed at exposing police brutality in the UK. Khurdish police themselves are no saints, let’s make no mistake about that.

The protester appears to try to get up, at which point he is forced back to the ground and punched four times. It is not known what happened before the video starts at the demonstration. The police officer will appear to have no justification for the attack unless the officer was attacked in an earlier scene. However, the proper course of action would be to arrest the man and have him prosecuted, not punch him whilst he is on the ground helpless.
