Diets rich in meat, eggs and cheese should be limited for the good of our well being.
Research and surveys indicate that many of us in the UK, are used to eating meals with plenty of meat and eggs, believing this to equate eating well. Reality is that all meat has plenty of animal fat, and eggs contain very high protein in the white, whilst the yoke is full of unhealthy fat.
The British diet Association recommend 45 -55 g of protein in adult men and women daily, but the British Nutrition foundation categorically states that most adults eat in the range of 65 -88 g of protein daily. 65% of adults are said to eat over 100g of fat daily, without even blinking an eye.
The contents of our diets affect our mood and thoughts, and can even often, how well we sleep, and our effectiveness in planning our lives strategically and effectively. Many of us indulge readily in snacks and bakeries during or after a hard day’s work because it is convenient, and saves the hassle of cooking our own meals ourselves.
Yet, it is infinitely wiser to make our own meals with a high sense of nutrients consciousness, than to eat out. The temptation to snack should be resisted because most snacks contain high sugar and fat levels, talk less of the high levels of carbohydrates that comes with it. More advisable is a planned packed lunch with healthy salad, fish, good fruits like oranges and banana. Hunger is the best time to exercise discipline and not yield to the easy temptation to put junk food in your stomach, just because some profit making entrepreneur knows that an infinite number of people will do this. Make a point not to join them.
A large number of those who run businesses couldn’t care less what enters your mouth because many don’t care what they enters their mouth anyway. All they want is your money, nothing else. Many bosses smoke ceaselessly in an attempt to restrain the stress that accompanies their job or to manage their tumultuous private relationships. For others, it is just a bad habit developed in their youth which they have struggled to beat. We should try not to emulate individuals with bad habits just because of the high posts they occupy or the luxurious cars they drive. We all have failings and weaknesses, and even for some of the smartest and shrewdest individuals, their one weakness is in the area of healthy living.
Regular exercise like jogging, press ups and seat ups, are very good for the body, skin, and mind. Good exercise should always be complemented with healthy eating, and not used as an excuse for eating carelessly. Careless and unhealthy eating will compromise the benefits of good exercise, even if you end up better off with exercise than without. Always add to this plenty of water daily, ideally, at least six full size able glasses of water. Finally, remember that alcohol is a poison, and must always be taken in moderation, and certainly not daily.
