CHELSEA FANS IN RACIST TAUNT DISGRACE CASE AS FIVE MEN APPEAR IN COURT

BY KATIE BOWER

Five men have appeared in court over alleged racist chant at the Paris metro involving  Chelsea fans.  Richard Barklie, 50, a former police officer, Dean Callis 32, Jordan Munday 20, from South East London,  Joshua Parsons , a 20 year old City worker,  William Surpine, 25 arrived at the Waltham Forest Magistrates Court where police are putting an application for them to be served with football banning orders. The banning orders which could range between three and five years are to be contested by all five defendants  according to their lawyers. The case is about the ugly incident captured on the mobile phone by a Brit- a footage that eventually proved vital in nailing the potential suspects after it went viral.   Beamed around the world, Chelsea football hooligans  were clearly  seen forcing 33 year old  Souleyman Sylla off a crowded train at Richelieu- Drouot as he tried to board the train shouting and clapping “We’re racist, we’re racist and that’s the way we like it”The group were heading for the Champions League match with Paris Saint-Germain ahead of the 1-1 draw on February 17 before their innate stupidity and ignorance surfaced showing their true colours. Mr Sylla later stated that he felt  humiliated and  did not feel  like a citizen of Paris in his own country. A VIP invitation offered by Mourinho was later rejected by Mr. Sylla unsurprisingly as he would not want to risk further racism by the many idiots that support Chelsea.

Mr Barklie is  who is now a director of the World Human Rights Forum has vehemently denied any involvement in the disgraceful racist scenes , claiming to have just been at the wrong place and the wrong time. He insisted that he did not even know the thugs, although given his highly held positions he has to offer some public defence, doesn’t he?  We may have to wait for the case to be exhausted before all the facts are laid bare to the presiding court judge.Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has always stressed his regret at the embarrassing scenes broadcast world wide and added that the club was “appalled” by the racial abuse from those seen in the video footage, adding that Russian billionaire owner Roman Abramovich was also “disgusted”.Chelsea supporters have been involved in the highest number of reported racist incidents  whilst travelling  to matches on trains. The British Transport Police said since 2012 it had dealt with 15 incidents of alleged racism involving Chelsea fans, the most of any club in the country.
