Police Forces In Uk Asked To Check Officers Against Data Base After Rapist Cop Shock

By Lucy Caulkett-

All police forces in the Uk have been asked to check their offices and staff against national police databases in the wake of the David Carrick case, the Home Office has said.

Forces are being asked to take the action to “identify anyone who my have slipped through the net”, but forces won’t need to look to far. The force are already examining over 1,600 cases of sexual allegations in the force, and will need to examine each one with due diligence.

Britain is still recovering from the shock of  David Carrick’s(pictured) sickening campaign of sexual abuse and intimidation which was covered up by the force, with many members of the public wondering how many more dangerous cops wearing uniforms and posing like law enforcement agents  are really monstrous individuals who are a menace to society.

How so many monsters have been allowed to be in a force meant to protect the public is beyond belief. Domestic  and sexual assault as well as  explicit racism are all committed by police officers every year, revealed in the media, with very little done to address this evil in the force designed to protect us.

The National Police Chiefs’ Council (NPCC) is due to ask all police forces in the Uk to double check their officers to find anyone who is “simply not fit to wear the uniform”.

In a statement, the Home Office said: “This will help identify anyone who has slipped through the net before vetting standards were toughened and ensure those who are unfit to serve can be rooted out.

“The government will do whatever it takes to root out misogyny and predatory behaviour from the ranks of the police.”

Home Secretary Suella Braverman described Carrick’s “sickening crimes” as a “stain on the police”, and said he should “never have been allowed to remain as an officer for so long”.

“We are taking immediate steps to ensure predatory individuals are not only rooted out of the force, but that vetting and standards are strengthened to ensure they cannot join the police in the first place,” she added.

“Every day, thousands of decent, hard-working police officers perform their duties with the utmost professionalism, and I am sure they all share my disgust at his despicable betrayal of everything they stand for.”

Home Secretary Suella Braverman has also asked the College of Policing to strengthen the statutory code of practice for police vetting, making the obligations all forces must legally follow stricter and clearer.

In a statement, she said: “David Carrick’s sickening crimes are a stain on the police and he should never have been allowed to remain as an officer for so long.

“We are taking immediate steps to ensure predatory individuals are not only rooted out of the force, but that vetting and standards are strengthened to ensure they cannot join the police in the first place.”

“Every day thousands of decent, hardworking police officers perform their duties with the utmost professionalism and I am sure they all share my disgust at his despicable betrayal of everything they stand for.”

Braverman repulsion to David Carrick’s crimes is one shared by the entire country, but the Home Secretary has not been adequately proactive in rooting out corrupt officers in the force.

Criminals in the force have been well publicised in the media, but this Home Secretary has not been sufficiently active in ensuring accountability at the highest levels of the force

British Prime minister, Rishi Sunak join the condemnation of Carrick’s serius crimes.

Speaking at Prime Minister’s Questions on Wednesday, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak told the Commons: “I know members from across the House will be as shocked and as appalled as I am about the case of David Carrick.

“The abuse of power is truly sickening and our thoughts are with his victims.

“The police must address the failings in this case, restore public confidence and ensure the safety of women and girls.

“There will be no place to hide for those who use their position to intimidate those women and girls, or those who have failed to act to reprimand or remove those people from office.”

Home Office minister Robert Jenrick has said the Government backs efforts by London Mayor Sadiq Khan to strip serial rapist police officer David Carrick of his pension.

He told Sky News: “The forfeiture of the pension is a matter for the Mayor of London but we support his efforts to remove that pension, if indeed that is what he chooses to do.

“This is one of the most egregious cases of police misconduct in the history of the Met, perhaps in the history of British policing.

“This disgusting individual should not benefit from his years serving in the Metropolitan Police.”
