ONE DIRECTIONS NIALL HORAN PROMOTES CASUAL ROMPS IN NEW SONG

BY LOUISE ANDERSON

Niall Horan has told MTV news that the groups new song ‘Temporary fix which he penned with British song writer Wayne is actually about casual romps.

The 22-year-old singer, whose band of late have faced mounting criticism for their public conduct, and whose band has been battling the demons of disunity that has somehow created a wedge between them have revealed that the song which appears on the band’s forthcoming album Made In The AM has a bit of “dirt and grit” to it, which was inspired by his past “grungy” nights out. “It’s basically about being in the bar, and some guy is chewing the ear off you. He’s got a few drinks on him, and you can tell by her body language that she doesn’t want to be there, so you come over to her, chat to her,” he explained.

Noel believes everybody could relate to the track because of the ”grungy nights out” they have so often indulged in. He then says that the chorus is basically about ‘I can be your temporary fix’. We don’t have to call it anything – just kinda… it’s relatable I guess,” he said. “Everyone has.” Casual romps can be very enjoyable but are never fair if both parties are not absolutely agreed that the romp is casual. One party may want something a lot more serious, whilst the other wants something casual. However when a casual romp is mutual and understood to be that, only then can it be mutual and acceptably gratifying. Casual romps do have their risks though, in that one party may subsequently become attached whilst the other wants to keep it casual. Unwanted pregnancies can be the worst outcome from a casual romp, so it may not be all the full fun Nial is whipping it to be. However, the song will likely hit a wide market since the idea is undoubtedly agreeable with many people, especially lads.

Noel does well to promote their upcoming track, but fails to express any apologies for some of the band’s public misdemeanours of late, though he may not see it his place to do this. Internal conflicts, trashing of hotels, are all stuff we don’t really want to hear about our loved celebrities. It makes them lose a lot of class, especially when they don’t come out and admit their cock up and apologise.

His band mate, Harry Styles later elaborates on another track ”Walking In The Wind”, which he said was influenced by Paul Simon’s seventh studio album, Graceland. “The way in which the verse is so conversational and informal, and it’s not like melody melody melody – it’s like spoken word, and kind of drifts and peaks and troughs,” he said. They are due to release another of their tracks- made in AM- next week Friday- the same day Justin Bieber’s long awaited LP, purpose comes out. Bieber once lambasted the group and accused them of ”trying to take his shine”, by setting the same release date as him. We may never know for sure if this was done deliberately, but what we do know is that Bieber won’t be happy and the coincidence in the release date will spark an automatic rivalry between the pair. It would be interesting to see how that goes. Bieber recently revealed he is still in love with his former girlfriend and did not really get over her . The tension between Bieber and One Direction will be hot that day, though Bieber is another one who can release good music sometimes, only to spoil it with his very immature ways.
