Joshua , who has fought relatively decent opposition, hasn’t been fed bums, but rather has breezed his opponents out, making them look like bums in comparison. Martin had an impressive unbeaten record, and could punch, but wasn’t as good as Joshua. Only before that fight, Joshua had taking 7 rounds to halt durable Dillian Whyte, who was unbeaten before then and building a respectable record.
Now, Joshua takes on 30 year old Breazeale has won all 17 of his professional fights, and has 15 knockouts to his resume. This is an impressive first defence for Joshua, who has never taken the easy route, and is keen on testing himself to prove his real quality. This may turn out not to be an easy fight for the unbeaten Londoner, and will go a step further in Joshua showing what he is all aboiut.
“I am looking to get past Breazeale in style and continue moving towards the unification fight everybody is waiting for,” said undefeated Joshua.
Breazeale, who stands an inch above Joshua at 6ft 7in, is a former Olympian and ranked 13th in the IBF rankings, below British pair Derek Chisora and David Haye.
