CHANNEL 5 NOT BEHAVING LIKE BIG BROTHER
THEY MAYBE TO BLAME FOR BAD BEHAVIOUR
It’s that time of year we all wait for. Yes, that’s right, the Brit Awards are a little over a month away and the nominations within the Ladies category are phenomenal. For the Best International Female we have Beyonce, Lana del Rey, Taylor Swift, Sia and St Vincent in the line up. After the year they’ve had its a tough call.
Beyonces fifth self titled album was released surprisingly on December 13th 2013, its was the talk of the year last year, it includes some of her greatest work to date being “Drunk in love”, “Blow” and “Mine” featuring husband Jay Z and Rapper Drake.
Taylor swift has grown the most out of all. She has this feisty idgaf attitude right now which has gained her a whole new audience from her transition to subtle country girl to diva adult. “Shake it off” had us all pouncing about the house whilst dusting.
It was so refreshing to see Sia step out into the limelight again, Sia is known mainly for her impeccable song writing skills. She has wrote for many majors artists like Beyonce herself on the single “Pretty Hurts”, Neyos dance track “Let me love you” and the amazing number 1 single for Rihanna “Diamonds”. This goes to show her genius!. when she took to the stage again with her hit single “Chandelier” early last year she stole the charts. Her new single “Elastic Heart” features the Transformers star Shia Lebeouf dancing in the video alongside the “Chandelier” dancer Maddie Ziegler. The Australian singer is also the voice behind “Titanium” ft David Guetta and “Wild ones” ft Flo Rida. She’s elephantly to say the least.
Lana del Rey the stunning Dark Pop Princess is our delicate little legend. Beauty and talent is not lacking where she is concerned. 2014 proved quiet for Miss Del Rey although she still deserved this nomination. Lana has been doing a whole lot of touring and i look forward to her new material.
Last but not least the Oklahoman born female has opened up for many major acts throughout the years such as Arcade Fire and Grizzly Bear. She is the least known but do not let that fool you as the funky and unusual wacky hair coloured act has had her tracks feature on major screens such as “The Twilight Saga” Movies. Roll on the Brits.
