The “Falling” singer gave birth to her child on December 27th of last year, the piano queen has been holding the fort and keeping all new exposures of their new family addition at bay. Shockingly to us after a two month wait the million dollar artist took to her Instagram account to debut their newest arrival with an adorable old formatted black and white snap.
The singer can add her boys to her endless long list of life time achievements but I’m sure they are at the top of the list. Cairo and Genesis are sure blessed with two extremely talented parents. Alicia Keys was born Alicia Augello Cook on January 25 1981, and has become one of the world’s most popular female solo artists. Keys has released several albums over the past 14 years. Alicia had two previous record deals with Major label Columbia and Arista Records. The short haired beauties debut solo album, “Songs in A minor” was a phenomenal commercial success reaching sales of over 13 million worldwide. The success of her debut sales landed Keys “The best-selling new artist” and “The best-selling R&B artist” of 2001. “Songs in A minor” also earned Alicia a whooping five Grammys back in 2002. Her second studio album, “The diary of Alicia keys” was released the following year and was also another success, selling over eight million copies. The album topped up the singers trophy cabinet when it grabbed her an additional four Grammys in 2005. Imagine bagging 9 Grammys off of two albums? Well she does not have to dream as she lives it. Later on that year, she released her first ever live album “Unplugged” which debuted at number one in the United States of America. She then broke more barriers and headlines when she became the first female Soloist to have an “MTV Unplugged” album to debut not only at number one but the highest since rock gods Nirvana took the crown back in 1994.
It is safe to say Alicia is some what of a legend, and as she was Cradling her new-born in her arms, she was off course surrounded by the rest of her loving family, including husband Swizz Beatz, his son Kasseem Dean Junior and their older son together Egypt Daoud. The glowing pianist and proud mummy captioned the image: “Blessings and love!! #GenesisAliDean” Her husband echoed his wife’s pure sentiment on his own Instagram by uploading a new unseen picture of him holding his new-born son with his two other sons sat beside him, streaming the hash tag family name with pride “#Deanboyz.”
It’s apparent little Egypt is thrilled with the new arrival and definitely let mummy know before she went into labor ‘I think he’s [Egypt] super excited because he’s not going to be the youngest anymore”, and how sweet is he when Alicia told friends ‘He’s always kissing my belly.’
Kasseem Dean better known to the world as Swizz Beatz was born and bred in the infamous Bronx’s. Starting off as a DJ gaining experience, he then went onto be one of the rap industries most well-known Producers. Swizz was ranked 27th on About.com list of the “Top 50 Greatest Hip-Hop Producers,” Whilst the Source rated him several places higher when they placed him on their “20 greatest producers” list in the magazine’s celebratory 20-year history edition. Our ever so recently frowned upon music producer Kanye West holds Deans geniuses on a rap pedestal, calling Swizz “the best Rap Producer of all time”
Swizz and Alicia got married in 2010 after a few years of courting and the pair now have two children together. Swizz also has three other children he fathered before Alicia, one with British singer-songwriter and producer Jahna Sebastian and one with ex-wife American R&B singer-songwriter Mashonda. The Harlem born beauty has worked with the likes of Jay Z and had a massive hit in 2005 with Cassidy when she laid down the hook for “Get no better”. We all remember that catchy summer jam.
Alicia finally stepped out into the fresh air with her new sprout earlier on sporting her hair in cornrows and a rather large coat she purposely wore to wrap and cover her and Genesis.
