A woman who tracked down her brother’s drug addict killer and successfully achieved a recorded confession from her on camera has spoken of her disbelief and ”surreal” feeling of the occasion.
37 year old, Ryan Green, died after he slipped into a coma following a lethal dose of heroin administered by drug user Samantha Loftus.
The dead man’s sister, Dawn Green, 35, was determined to find his killer and could not believe her luck in tracking down Loftus at her flat in Strood, Kent.
She admitted giving Ryan the dosage on camera – a few hours before Ryan’s life support machine was turned off.
Dawn said: “It was so surreal, like it was a dream. I needed her to say it on camera and she did and I just wanted to punch her in the face, but I just had to keep recording.
“I asked her to confess and she asked us to sit down and she just told us.
“It was frustrating to sit there and do that but at the end it’s what I needed to do, she told our friends at The Mirror Newspaper.
In the video Dawn asks, “How did it come about, who injected him?” and Loftus replies, “I did”. A relieved Dawn said “Samantha admitted it there and then, but I knew that I had to get her confession on film otherwise it would have been my word against hers.Millions of drug addicts die from heroine addiction each year.
