Wikileaks have released the first batch of the.emails which the organisation says implicates the Turkish government.
The emails discovered by Wikileaks relate to the ruling Akp party’s internal server and thousands of attached files in response to Ankara’s government’s widespread post Cop purges.
Wikileaks says the release of almost 300,000 emails together with several thousand attached files is the first part in the series and encompasses 762 emails beginning with A through to I.
All emails are attributed to aspartic.org– the primary domain of the main political force of the country, and covers from 2010 to 2016.
The organisation stated it’s decision to push forward the date of its publication, following the interference from a cyber attack it has recently been experiencing.
All emails associated with the domain are mostly used for dealing with the world, as opposed to the most sensitive internal matters, the organisation stated.
Given the staggering number of emails to be disclosed, the astounding news will put a lot into perspective in relation to the political turmoil engulfing Turkey.
Precisely how the none profit organisation accessed all those details remains a mystery.
The multiple detentions of police officers and judges in their thousands by the Turkish government are most suspicious. Unless Erdogan’s government had a prepared list of guilty parties in advance, it defies reason how he could justify such large numbers of arrest.
Wiki leaks had stated that the Turkish government or its allies had subjected the whistleblowing site to intense cyber attacks, making access difficult for many of their readers.
Those attacks are continuing, but Wiki leaks said they were winning the battle. There will be plenty of interest in the revelations, especially by the Turkish people.
