Washington on Lockdown Due to Police Gun Chase

By Aaron Miller

Washington was on lock down yesterday, Tuesday as police chased a gunman who fired a round of shots at them.

Police were called to 4th and p Street to reports of a man with a gun but had a chase in their hands following their arrival.

Accompanied by two other men, all three fled in a car, with police in pursuit behind them. Washington was immediately on lock down that moment.a

The chase continued under the tunnel into the France Perking building located at 200 constitution Street, where one of the men popped his head out of the window and fired a round of shots at officers.

Police circulated an email to residents nearby, instructing everyone to stay at their locations as the entire vicinity was on lockdown, with all entry and exit restricted.

Strangely enough, the chase took place near the U.S department of labour. Police said nobody was hurt, though the exchange of rounds and militant chase, was enough to leave some shaken.

Guns have long been an issue of contention in the somewhat lawless the United States of America, where lives are often wiped off quicker than lightning.

The seemingly low value for life in America may have induced a self-fulfilling prophecy in which many Americans feel the need to carry guns.

All it then takes is a moment of disagreement or temper to fatally inflate an otherwise resolvable dispute. Surprisingly, and impressively, nobody was killed in this dramatic pursuit.
