TYSON FURY FINALLY GETS WORLD TITLE DATE WITH WLADIMIR KLITSCHKO

BY TIM PARSONS
British contender, Tyson Fury has finally secured a world heavyweight title fight against Wladimir Klitschko in Germany for  October 24th, this year. He will pocket a career-best purse of at least £3.5m.
The camps reached an agreement yesterday minutes before the closure of purse bids for the fight. The unbeaten gipsy fighter will have his first real test in Dusseldorf’s 54,6000 seater Espirit arena. and Fury will challenge Klitschko for his WBO, WBA and IBF crowns on October 24 in Dusseldorf’s 54,600-seater Esprit Arena, where the Eurovision song contest was held.

Wladimir Klitschko at 39 years of age is slowly in decline but has dominated the division for nearly a decade without much in the way of stern opposition to threaten his reign. Fury, at 25 has the right height, work rate and   determination to give Klitschko his toughest fight to date, but not many believe he has the power to upset Klitschko. His huge 6 fy 9 inc frame against Klitschko’s 6ft 7 1/2 inch height and athleticism will make for an interesting spectacle whatever happens, so we now have 3 months to go.
