PHONE THEFT VICTIM RUSSELL BRAND MUST WATCH HIS MOUTH

BY JAMES SIMONS

Russell Brand has revealed that his phone got stolen during his last trip to India, though he was fortunate to have it returned to him by an ‘honest guy’ who found it. Brand, who has recently been the subject of fierce criticism by the G.Q magazine in India, and lately by British television host, Jeremy Kyle, for his ill timed comments about the victims of the Tunisian terror attacks, remains a very controversial figure in Britain. He is certainly an audacious

individual with profound convictions on almost any issue. His one weakness is discretion. His choice of timing to wax lyrical against government policy or the alleged sale of arms was as awful and misguided as many of his comedy jokes of late, and indeed in a lot of his career. Brand, really should know what it means for people to be killed in a war or dispute that does not involve them one bit. He surely must know what it means for family members to lose their loved ones in serious atrocities of this nature. It does not take much imagination to consider the pain and sorrow the poor families of the victims must be feeling. Jeremy Kyle’s suggestion that Brand’s remark smacked of desperation is worrying, because an urge to grab the limelight in the midst of dead bodies is sickening in the extreme.

PALE

Jeremy Kyle said in his column for the Sun that ”this weeks outburst was beyond the pale. There’s a time and place to peddle conspiracy theories about corporations and government arms sales, but it isn’t while the bodies are still being flown

home from one of the worst atrocities in British history”. The 49 year old television host said it was disgusting of Brand  to trash and denounce the moment of silence as total bull sxxxt.

Brand seems to have a strong tendency to say all the wrong things, despite being in the position of having a platform that could have been instrumental for influencing a lot of people positively, but instead he seems to abuse this platform. The former actor and television presenter may indeed prefer to cause a stir and seize every opportunity to vent any deeply held views and issues he has against the government. Brand must be careful not to be seen as one inadvertently encouraging the radicalization of terrorists acts or even lone wolf acts
