A registered sex offender, whose face should be known by every parent with young children, has been jailed for 2 years and 2 months, after breaking legal requirements connected with his sexual harm prevention order.
Lewis Garraway, 23,(pictured) from Northampton rented out a room to a father with young children, aged four and eight, who regularly stayed at the property.
The father was unaware that Garraway was a registered sex offender, and rhe sex offender did not bring it to his attention.
After Northamptonshire Police’s MOSOVO (Managing Sexual Offenders and Violet Offenders) team paid him a visit, Garraway was arrested and charged for failing to comply with the legal orders.
Concerned family members of the young children began questionning the young kids, to confirm that they hadn’t fallen victim to any foul play in the hands pof Garraway.
The mega pervert also failed to attend his police bail appointments, and failed to appear in court for his first hearing.
Lead Investigator, PC James Brookes from Northamptonshire Police’s MOS
“Lewis Garraway showed a complete disregard and lack of respect for the very strict notification requirements he is rightly expected to abide by so I am pleased that he has been handed a prison sentence as a result,” he said.
“We take an absolute zero-tolerance approach to situations like this and there is no room for manoeuvre or second chances.
“Our job is to protect the public and we will immediately look to charge a registered sex offender if they breach any of their conditions.
“Garraway’s arrogance towards the investigation shows the kind of person he is and I hope his time in prison allows him to fully grasp the reasons he needs to abide by his requirements in the future.”
