A prostitute alongside 2 others have appeared at Chelmsford Crown Court accused of Murder and conspirsacy to rob. Danielle Russell, 26, a 16 year old from Thurrock and a 17 year old from Basildon are charged with murdering 24 year old Anton Levin in November last year
The three are also charged with with the attempted murder of Mr Levin’s childhood friend, Abdullatif Abdulkadir, 24, conspiring to inflict grievous bodily harm with intent to Mr Abdulkadir and also conspiracy to rob Mr Levin. Amjad Malik, prosecuting, told the jury: “The defendants agreed that their plan was to rob Anton Levin of heroin and crack cocaine they believed with certainty Mr Levin would be in possession of, and any money he or anybody accompanying him had.
“It was planned to be an ambush, a surprise attack.”
The court heard that a 4th man- 27 year old Abdul Suleiman- wanted in connection with the attack, fled the country a day after the incident, on November 20, and has not been captured since. Mr Malik explained: “Danielle Russell asked Mr Levin to come to her flat, in order to sell her drugs, where the two young men and Suleiman would be hiding. This is a typical example of the dangers of drug dealing. Despite the money alot of dealers make from dealing drugs it is never enough as the quest to dominate a turf and earn quicker money always seems to lurk in the minds of drug dealers. One thing most drug dealers cannot always guard against is the target of being robbed themselves.

The court heard another man wanted in connection with the attack, Abdul Suleiman, 27, fled the country a day after the incident, on November 20, and has yet to be found.
Mr Malik continued: “Danielle Russell asked Mr Levin to come to her flat, in order to sell her drugs, where the two young men and Suleiman would be hiding.
And whilst one can be sure that the prostitute must have struck a deal with the robbers to give them some drugs and probably money too, she may not have seriously contemplated the prospect of the victim she was setting up getting killed. Such is the stupidity of both prostitution and drug dealing. individuals who indulge in these activities rarely properly consider the risks involved. Quick money brings quick problems. A man who went to sell drugs to make money is now dead. The guys who allegedly robbed the man is now standing trial for murder. And the prostitute who set up the whole affair is now on trial for conspiracy. None of these will be able to enjoy their money whilst in jail.
If drug dealers never robbed each other, the only real offence would be the fact they are ruining lives of addicts by firthering their addiction and breaking the law. Their greed worsens an already bad situation when they start to rob other dealers who are ostensibly trying to make ends meet in the similarly dodgy manner as they themseloves. All three accuse deny murder. The case continues.
