Fans of Meghan Markle have launched an unfounded attack against Prince Charles following his Windrush Day speech .
They have accused him of failing to protect his daughter-in-law from racist criticism.
The Prince of Wales, 71, paid tribute to the ‘invaluable contribution of Black people in Britain’ in a video to mark 72 years since the Empire Windrush arrived at Tilbury Docks in Essex, bearing around 500 people from Jamaica.
Charles comments that ‘diversity of our society is its greatest strength’ attracted criticism from admirers of the Duchess of Sussex, 38, who branded labe the Duke of Cornwall a ‘hypocrite’, claiming he did ‘nothing to protect’ Prince Harry’s wife from ‘racial bullying.
A clip of Charles talking about the ‘debt of gratitude’ the nation owes the Windrush generation was posted to his social media platforms on Monday.
Shame on him for real. He did nothing to protect his daughter-in-law… as diverse as they come.’
A third questioned: ‘What about Meghan? Why did you allow her to be abused? Was she not valuable enough?’
A fourth wrote: ‘Shame on him! That family is not smart. Given their history, they should have gone out of their way to hug-up and protect Meghan Markle. She is as diverse as they will ever get. Now they look as out of touch and ‘un-woke’ as ever.’
However, some royal enthusiasts noticed the attack, and replied: ‘Meghan Markle fans who know nothing about what went on behind doors spreading hate to Harry’s father who funds him.’
Another said: ‘Gotta say… Judging from these comments, Meghan is well liked.
Why Meghan Fans Are Wrong
Fans of Meghan are wrong to blame Charles for failing to intervene in charges of racism against her because they don’t have a factual and objective understanding of the discord that has been going between the Dutchess Of Sussex and other members of the Royal family.
Complicated relationships affects everything, human beings naturally are not inclined to defend people unless they are completely happy with them.
Besides, the royal family traditionally do not confront the press about unfavourable articles in the press. The Eye Of Media.Com addressed this specific issue last week during an analysis of The Sussex’s forthcoming book, pointing out the weakness in expecting Prince Charles or The Queen to fight their media battles for them.
The Windrush generation was named after the ship that brought over one of the first groups of West Indian migrants invited to the UK in 1948 to help
In November 2016, Harry criticised the ‘wave of abuse and harassment’ the former US actress had faced from the media – citing the ‘racial undertones of comment pieces’ among his concerns.
