NONE UK NATIONALS TO BE BANNED FROM VOTING IN EU REFERENDUM TO PREVENT RIGGING

BY BEN KERRIGAN

All UK none nationals will be banned from voting in the EU referendum, the Conservative party have declared in a bid to prevent any chance of a decisive vote by foreign nationals who may misrepresent the will of the British people.  Prime Minister David Cameron is determined to ensure the British people determine the fate of the country’s longstanding membership of the European Union in the first referendum for more than 4 decades. The EU referendum bill will be announced this week after the Queens speech  scheduled for Wednesday/Thursday and it will be made clear that only British, Irish, and  Commonwealth citizens  over 18 years old will be allowed to vote. Members of the House of Lords and Common Wealth citizens in Gibralter will also be allowed to vote, but 16 and 17 year olds in the UK will customarily be excluded, except in Scotland where the age cap is lower. Further, British nationals have lived overseas for the less than 15 years will be allowed to vote too. The eligibility rules  are similar to those applied in a national election.

The   declaration comes after Eurosceptic MP’s confronted ministers confronted over the issue to implement preventative measures  designed to guarantee to prevent any obstruction of a legitimate process of voting.  Britain’s membership of the EU  has long been a divisive issue, deepened whenever European judges have allowed terrorist to stay in Britain because of the argument that they would suffer deplorable abuses of their human rights if they were returned to their home land. Most of all, the alarming and uncontrolled state of immigration has angered many, who believe that their ability to get jobs have been compromised because of the sheer number of people in the country. Britain is truly a small country, but there are enough jobs for those who really want to work.  In spite of this hard fact, perception often prevails over reality, and the general belief is that most Brits feel Britain is a soft touch being exploited by foreign nationals who come here to feast on our generous welfare benefits.

For those foreign Europeans who don’t rely on benefits but work hard, the argument is that they are taking up our jobs and strangling the  labour force. So, those in favour of the EU can’t win in the eyes of Euro skeptics.  The fact there are many people born and bread in this country who similarly rely on benefits does not  resonate with the majority of Brits because their argument will be that our jobs and welfare services are still being strangulated. Ultimately, the underpinning issue is that Brits want to have the luxury of their resources to the exclusion of none Brits. It is argument not hard to understand, as one who was born in Britain and has never lived anywhere  else.  Which is why as a Brit , it wouldn’t really bother me which ever the decision goes.  My position that the economic benefits of remaining in the EU outstrips any stated disadvantages remains, besides the added benefit of gracing this great country with many of the stunning ladies that come from Poland, Latvia, Spain, Italy and many of the other EU countries  It is still a decision we the British people must make collectively, and we will jointly stand by whatever decision we make. David Cameron is intent on doing this by 2017 at the latest, but he will try to secure the referendum by next year 2016

Under tough new measures in the meantime, EU nationals who fail to find a job in the first 6 months of their entry into the UK will be deported straight back to their country. David Cameron has already told European Commission president, Claude Junker that the British people are not happy with the status quo in Europe. Efforts in pursuit of some form of reform is believed to be underway to strike some form of deal, but some Mp’s believe any planned reform is worthless. They want in or out.  At least the Prime Minister is doing his best to show the British public that he has their best interest at heart.
