BED AND BREAKFAST SWEPT OFF AS 13 DIE IN WORST TORNADO TO HIT TEXAS

BY CHRISTINE AYALA  IN TEXAS

The U.S  State has been hit with the worst tornado for a 100 years, killing 13 people, including 3 children, with over a dozen missing according to reports. Hundreds of houses are reported to have been damaged or destroyed  in Coalsville across the boarder from Del Rio, Texas. Images of the carnage reveal badly damaged cars and houses.  The grotesque scenes were further exacerbated by news of a baby ripped out of mother’s arms by the force of the wind, and another incidence of baby said to have been trapped into the child rear of a car . Cars are reported to have been displaced, some found on top of houses, others in the bushes; all in a case of unthinkable chaos that has brought the state to its knees. A vacation house with 12 people in it was mercilessly swept away with cruel speed, wrecking lives and precipitating unanticipated mourning among the families of Tourists. The well known vacation house reputed for its quality bed and breakfast inns, and weekend rental cottages was forcefully blown away with frightening speed, smashing into a bridge like a scene off an action movie staged with artificial devices.  The bodies of a woman and two children were spread out on a truck bed covered with sheets.  The fleeting thought of a war lurked in my mind, except it was clear this was no war.
There were cries of sorrow among a few small groups as most people’s lives must have quickly flashed past them. The cognisance level of each living soul was phenomenally heightened.  I saw a man and two women uttering prayers in vain over what looked like a dead body. In a flash, many people had their body clock forced to cease irreversibly .The ferocious tonado lasted a short moment of about 6-10 seconds  but was incredibly destructive in impact, causing so much mayhem and disbelief.  Large swathes of Mexico were affected by the deadly tonado that eluded the weather forecasters on terms of the fullness of its strength . Reports of a dead boy found next to his dog is one of the most heart breaking stories to emerge from the disaster. Natural disasters are nothing new to America, but each time they happen, it is a sad tale. City officials said  shelter was being provided for those that had lost their homes as a result of the disaster. 3 deaths have been connected to severe flooding in Texas that started since Saturday, shocking many who woke up Sunday money to find their properties immersed in deep waters. Many have been forced to flee their homes and even evacuate the troubled city that not for the first time has met a cursed fate not due to its own workings.

Mayor, Evarito Penez Rivera told  reporters  that 300 men were being treated at local hospitals and that up to 200 had been totally dislodged. Governor of Texas, George Abbott described it a the worst disaster the State has ever seen and  declared a state of  disaster in 24 counties said it is the worst tonando t hit the State, stating that it had a relentless tsunami like power. The most worrying thing is that forecasters predict a strong wave still making its way east. The storm prediction centre has issued a  tornado warning for much of South East Texas and Southwest Louisiana. This includes cities of Houston, Beaumont, Galveston, and Victoria in Texas. Trees were  reported to have been knocked into homes in Oklahoma, causing terror of epic proportions. Residents fortunate enough to have escaped this vicious natural disaster will have to brace themselves for more inexplicable shocks to the weather as weather experts see no sign of the mysterious storm disappearing completely. It was a sad day for me to write my first article for this blog, but hope the next occasion I choose to write will be about a far less tragic occasion
