The Sheffield winner has  called out Amir Khan for an all British clash, and desperately wanted to be Khan’s opponent in the latter’s last fight. Khan instead oped to fight American Jennings, prompting Brook to insist that Khan was avoiding him.

Brook v Khan is the biggest fight in Britain that can be made this year, because both fighters bring something to the table that will arouse the interest of the public. Khan has expressed his confidence in beating Brooks, but most people believe Brooks is th likely winner of a clash between the pair, even though Khan is more experienced at elite level.
Tonight, it is former  World amateur champion,  Frankie Gavin who will be on the other corner of the ring against Brook.  This fight looks a no brainer because although Gavin is good, he is not quite on the same level as Brooks, really. That’s not saying this is a mismatch, what it is saying is that Brooks has more drive, power and ability than his opponent. Gavin has a good under dog’s chance, but in Britain, only Amir khan has any chance of beating Kell Brook. Brooks really is the man Floyd Mayweather should fight before the American retires. Mayweather is seeking one more fight and intends on retiring on his 49th victory instead of attempting to break that record. The reason is mainly because money Mayweather knows just how risky a fight is against Brook and therefore wants to leave the sport on a high.

But putting private interests over public demand and professional concerns will not represent Mayweather’s legacy well, which is why he must fight Brook if the Sheffield man keeps winning. Frankie Gavin will try to end any prospect of a Brook v Mayweather fight by taking his tithe when the pair finally square up tonight.  ”I’ve trained hard for this fight and taken myself to places I’ve never rbeen before , Gavin stated. On my day, I am up there with the best in the world, and if  I get everything right, I will be World Champion. I am not stupid or delusional, I know i am going to have to perform out of my skin. But I definitely got it in me to be World Champion and i am very confident Kell Brook can be beaten, and hopefully it will take someone with my skills to do it”.

Gavin, will put on a good show, and has what it takes to give the champion a very good fight. However, his will and determination will not be enough.  It will be a thrilling fight, but Kell Brook will hunt him down and knock him out in the latter rounds. Eight rounds, and it should be game over.  Hats will have to go off if Frankie Gavin pulls an upset and wins.
