A fourth teenager has been charged byPolice investigating the murder of a 19-year-old in a Bradford city centre stabbing have charged a fourth man.
Amaad Shakiel, 20, of Leaventhorpe Lane in the Lower Grange area, has been charged with murder and attempted murder of Kian Tordoff, following the ongoing investigation by the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team.
West Yorkshire Police said he will appear before the morning session of Bradford Magistrates Court today.
The charges relate to the death of Kian Tordoff, 19, who died after he was stabbed in Bradford city centre in the early hours of Sunday, October 10.
A second male, Matthew Lowther, also sustained stabbing injuries.
Police put a cordon in place on John Street throughout the Sunday, after officers were first called at around 5.45am that morning.
Shakiel is the fourth male to be charged with murder and attempted murder in relation to the stabbing.
Arbaz Khan, 21, and Aizaz Khan, 26, both of Yew Tree Avenue, Daisy Hill, Bradford, and a 16-year-old, who is also from Bradford, appeared at Bradford Crown Court on Friday.
They were all remanded back into custody by the city’s Recorder, Judge Richard Mansell QC.
Another hearing was fixed for November 5 when a trial date will be set.
The defendants are not required to attend.
The Homicide and Major Enquiry Team are continuing to investigation the stabbing.
A full statement released today by West Yorkshire Police said: “Police investigating the murder of a man in Bradford City Centre have charged another man with offences.
“Amaad Shakiel (20) of Leaventhorpe Lane, Bradford, has been charged with murder and attempted murder and will appear before the morning session of Bradford Magistrates Court today (Monday October 18).
“The charges relate to the death of Kian Tordoff, 19, who passed away after he was stabbed in Bradford city centre in the early hours of Sunday October 10, and the stabbing of a second male in the same incident.
“Amaad Shakiel is the fourth male to be charged with murder and attempted murder in relation to the incident which remains under investigation by the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team.”
