The 11 year detention given to the racist teenager who stabbed his teacher in the stomach is fitting punishment for his crime, but more needs to be done to address the ignorance that underlies some of the intolerable racism that still lingers in aspects of society. This child who cannot be identified for legal reasons, was of Pakistani descent, and appears to have an inferiority complex to think he can be racist whilst his own race are regular victims and scape goats of racism. The court heard that the dumb ass put a post on facebook some 20 mins after the senseless vicious attack gloating about his vicious criminal act, and the post generated 69 ‘likes’ from equally stupid youths who were obviously amused by his ignorant courage to announce his indiscretion to the whole world.

Eye of media spoke to a few Asian teenagers in the Bradford area, all of whom refused to be named or photographed. One teenager said ” Bradford has had its share of racial wars, a lot of people here have been fighting for respect for years and now Bradford has got it. People here don’t take sxxxx, some of the hardest gangs in the country are from Bradford. Many Asians here have been called Pxxx before, so some Asians look for another scape goat to victimize. Unfortunately, black people are seen as the nearest scape goats, especially if you have had a bad experience with some of them”. Asked if he had experienced bad treatment himself from blacks, the 17 year old, his 16 year old friend answered for him ” there are some hard black guys that go round robbing people and onetime my Asian friend were robbed of their money and jewellery by a gang of black youths, but two of them got shanked(stabbed) about 6 months later by our boys”.

We asked if they would have liked a facebook post similar to the one put up by the 14 year old assailant, and they replied ” no because it is stupid to stab a teacher in front of a whole class. I’ve heard from people who know him that he is a dxxx hxxx. He was obviously craving attention and respect from his classmates, and wanted to be remembered as some tough guy. But he has now lost 11 years of his life.He is a fool”. The first 17 year old we were speaking to said ” the guy has been a victim of racism by white people in the past, and felt the black teacher was looking down on him in the way he dealt with him over the mobile issue. He probably felt a black teacher is the last person to look down on him because black people suffer racism too. When you are raised in this town, it is hard to trust the motives of people from other races when you are in a disagreement with them”

The unruly 14-year-old muttered the words b****** and n***** just before he knifing supply teacher, Vincent Uzomah in front of his classmates after a row over his mobile phone. Only a very stupid child with low self esteem and from a bad home would do something so vicious for witnesses to see

Mr Uzomah said he thought he was going to die when he was stabbed by the student who premeditated the attack and brought a “substantial blade” into school. It also came to light that 69 of his facebook friends had ‘liked’ a facebook post made by the boy who was convicted of inflicting GBH with intent. The court heard that about 20 minutes after the attack, the silly teenager wrote on the social network: “The m*********** getin funny(this dumb teenager can’t even spell the word ”getting”) so I stick the blade straight in his tummy.”

Mr. Uzomah, who professes to be a Christian, said he has forgiven his attacker and prays he would become a changed person. Many Christians in the past have spoken like this in pubic, presumably to fit in with the doctrine of forgiveness that circulates in religious circles. The reality is that he will never forgive him for this act and why should he? The young teenager is a disgrace to his family and his school.
