A celebrity woman from Pakistan has been killed by her brother for refusing to give up modelling.
Miss Balloch, a social media celebrity, was strangled by her brother after for supposedly provocative selfies and posts on social media.
Her mother told police that she had been in an argument with her brother before he wickedly strangled her and went online run. He will be caught, though.
Honour killings have always been commonplace in Pakistan, much to the disgrace of the Pakistan Community. A wrong belief prevails there that somehow men are more powerful or important than women.
The victim had recently spoken out against the bullish patriarchal society in Pakistan and was growing in popularity because of her strong independent mind, rarely seen among Asian women living in those countries.
Men all over the world can be very domineering, believing the world to center around them, whilst imposing a subordinate role in women.
In countries like Pakistan, the situation is immeasurably worse. Men allow women minimal room for independence and individuality, always wanting to boss the email around.
They fall the stupid issue that the family image will be affected, yet this fool has done far worse to the family image by killing his own sister. The girl was ambitious, using her beauty and talents to the best of her ability, only for an enemy from within to waste her life.
Countries like Pakistan need enlightenment when it comes to dealing with their women. All this moralistic superiority they try to impose on women is just hypocrisy at its worst. If you can’t look after a female member of tour own family, you are a useless man.
