By Eric King

Turkey will suffer economically as the country reels in turmoil.

Militants in Turkey have announced Marshal law, having claimed to have taken over the government. Although the government has denounced the claims, gun shots heard in Ankara, added to the fact that Artaka airport has been blocked by militants, confirms the state of mayhem in the country.

Turkeys president,TaryyipErdogan has urged citizens to go in the streets as a show of support, but only citizens who are prepared for an early death will oblige. The president himself was speaking from the safety of an undisclosed location, realizing the height of the drama engulfing his country.

Airlines are reported to have been diverted from the country in the wake of the unstable and scary situation. It;s an easy bet to make that passenger will now shy away from Turkey. Only recently a horrifying terrorist attack where many were killed. Passengers will pursue reimbursement for their loss of travel. With all the drama unfolding in Turkey, how many passengers booked for Turkey later this month or August will be looking forward to their travel.

Most will want their money back too, insurance and Turkeys travel industry will definitely suffer for it. The country has the second-largest army in NATO, and will be deploying them for this internal battle. However, if their military is breaking up into factions, then all will depend on the might of either side.

Turkey’s president has said the culprits will be punished for their actions. He has to get the situation under control first before he can guarantee any type of meaningful action.
