Meghan Markle executed her first solo royal engagement on Tuesday night , looking classy as she paid a visit to the Royal Academy in London. The appearance comes after she launched her project, Together: Our Community Cookbook with Prince Harry and her mother by her side. For her first solo engagement, the Duchess of Sussex iwas opening Oceana a new exhibit at the Royal Academy of Arts.
Oceania has a special connotation for Meghan, because she and Prince Harry are set to travel to the Pacific Islands on their first royal tour together. The Royal Academy also has close ties to the monarch herself, the Queen.
The Royal Academy once created a plan to launch it as a beautiful private project in 1768 but was never incorporated by a royal charter and remains independent from the palace. She admired the artwork at the Academy, bringing a broad smile to those present. Meghan adapted to the various cultures, as she rubbed her nose against the nose of representatives from some of the countries whose artistic work was being celebrated.
The exhibition celebrates art from Melanesia, Micronesia and Polynesia, encompassing the vast Pacific region including New Guinea, Easter Island, Hawaii and New Zealand.
Meghan waved at the adoring crowd who waiting to catch a glimpse of Buckingham newest princess, who was looking classy and beautiful as she attended the Academy without Prince Harry. Onlookers pulled out their mobile phones for a quick snap of Meghan who was also surrounded by photographers who could not get enough of the glowing princess. Her solo engagement comes 4 months after her celebrated marriage to Prince Harry in May.
Meghan and Harry are scheduled to tour Australia next month with prince Harry.
