David Haye is a clown who is out of Joshua’s league, according to archrival, Tony Bellew. Bellew, who beat Haye in March as an underdog, has began the battle of words between himself and Hay.
Haye was embarassd by Bellew, after being knocked out of the ring in the eleventh round in a fight that put Haye behind in his ratings and public perception. Haye had sprained his achilees hill, picking him an injury many believe cost him the fight.
Haye and Bellew have signed a rematch for December 17 at the O2 arena in London. Haye is confident of avenging the defeat and says he will retire if he looses again to Bellew. The Londoner then expressed an interest in facing Joshua afte he beats Bellew in their upcoming rematch, but Bellew says Haye is a clown for even calling out Joshua.
“David Haye will say whatever he needs to get his name in the media and sell himself, Bellew told betsafe. To call AJ out, he’s a clown.”
“AJ is in a league of his own. The fight against Klitschko, the way he dealt with him. I predicted an AJ win, but I didn’t think he would win that way. If it went past six rounds I couldn’t see him winning but he proved me wrong. He came back, he had the mental attitude, cardio, stamina to over come Klitschko. He showed a punching variety that hasn’t been seen from a heavyweight in over a decade. I was so happy for him”.
“AJ has earned everything he’s got, he’s come from nothing. That fight was the best fight I’ve ever been to live and now he is the face of boxing.” Bellew, like most fans does not give David Haye a chance against Anthony Joshua, and is convinced Haye is just drumming up attention.
Haye will have enough reason to want to prove he is better than Bellew by knocking him out in their rematch, and proving himself worthy of sharing a ring with Anthony Joshua, after Joshua’s degeat of Klitschko.
