Wladimir Klitschko is facing a threat of disqualification if he excessively holds on Saturday’ s championship contest.
Joe Cortex, who has referred many of Klitschko’s fights, told the Telegraph :
” if points are deduced twice, the third time, it should be a disqualification . Those are the rules, Klitschko has to be careful”.
Cortex , who wants to see a clean fight, said “the referee must take charge from the dressing room”.
CHAMPION
Klitschko was a reigning champion in the heavyweight division for eleven years until he was beaten by Tyson Fury, whose career is currently in limbo over suspensions and mental health issues.
SUBDUED
The once undisputed heavyweight champion subdued opponents with his power and athleticism , combined with excessive tactics of holding, used to swap out the energies of opponents before completely dominating them.
He was unable to put that plan into effect against Tyson Fury because he was conceding size and youth against the massive gypsy.
Against Joshua, there is an obvious concern Klitschko may employ those tactics in a close contest to gain an advantage.
The pair will.meet journalists tomorrow(Thursday ) for a press conference , after which a public work out will take place on Thursday evening.
