The stabbing occurred after a man tried to rob him and a female friend at a cash-point in the quite and posh area in West Yorkshire. The crime happened at around 2am on Thursday morning on Royal Park Road.
Cops say the victim and a 21-year-old woman were approached and threatened by a man as they were using a cash machine. The male victim was stabbed as he tried to intervene.
The suspect eventually fled the scene without any money. He is described as black, slim with dread locks, approximately 5ft 7 inches and was wearing a blue jacket at the time. A local told The Eye Of Media.Com they suspected the man was from Chapel Town in Leeds, after saying they heard the man speak to a friend about 2 minutes before the attack.
The local who claims to have caught a glimpse of the assailant is a mutual friend with two members of this team said: ” I saw two black males talking loud about five minutes before the incident. They sounded like lads from Chapel Town”.
The individual said she did not see their faces properly. Detective Inspector Woolf refused to confirm whether police captured the assailant on camera or were reviewing cameras in the area. She described the injures sustained by the victim as ”minor injuries”.
In a poor way of reassuring the public in Leeds that they police are treating the crime seriously despite the minor injuries, police sad they were ”carrying out extensive inquiries to identify the suspect, but wouldn’t comment on why cameras n the area expected to be working can help them identify the suspect.
Neither would cops state which cash point in particular the incident took place, unhelpful to the potential of jogging he memories of anyone who may have been nearby. Its a poor way of conducting extensive inquiries.
