Several underage boys and girls are cooking doormen with fake ID’ s, the eye of media.com can reveal.
Club goers must be 18 of over to her into a club, but a carefully planned assessment over a few weeks proved what really should be obvious.
Party hungry teenagers under the age of 18 have found another way of getting past the doorman and boogieing with those older than them. A number of underage children simply take either a driving license or passport belonging to an older sibling who does not look much better different. It seems to work most of the time.
Speaking to a few young looking faces in clubs, a number of them admitted that they had used pictures belonging to their older sibling just to get into clubs.
After hearing the same thing in a number of clubs, the eye of media.com decided to run a random survey by questioning 20 teenagers under the age of 18, asking how many of them had actually used the identity of an older sibling to get into a club at any stage of their lives.
12 of the first 20 said they had used their older siblings I.D to enter a club, and only 3 of the 12 said they were caught in the act by a doorman who didn’t believe the picture in the I.D matched the live appearance of the individual queueing to enter the club.
” The doormen hardly ever check properly said 17 years old Natalie Palmers from Redbridge , who didn’t mind her name being given. They take one quick glance and once they see a resemblance, they are quite happy it’s the same person. I think many young people know that this is the trick for those under 18 who want to be able to party hard like the older guys and girls”.
NERVOUS UNDERAGE CLUBBER
Her nervous pal , Jason Peters, 17 , told the eye of media.com ” I have done it for two years and never got caught once. My brother is 19, and we look a bit alike though not in a very striking way. Every time I give doormen my I.D, or should I say my brother’s I.D, I nervously watch as they always let me go through on the assumption that I am him. The word goes round, and I don’t think it is really something new. Many people do it “.
After meeting with Jason 48 hours after originally speaking to him, he showed me his brother’s I.D and despite some.similarities in their features, I could tell the difference. The young teenager was insistent that we did not take any pictures of him in person or his I.D, to avoid his picture being passed around in the clubs he frequents.
The question is whether many doormen fail to closely examine the picture before them and compare it well against the person they see, or whether youngsters are simply outsmarting doormen by pulling this trick.
