BLAIR AND COOPER DELIVER SERIOUS WARNING AGAINST CORBYN

Former Prime Minister, Tony Blair has delivered a stern warning to Labour voters of the serious risks of ”annihilation”  if they vote in Jeremy Corbyn for the leadership contest of the Labour party. In an assertive letter printed in the Guardian, he accused the party of walking ”eyes shut”, arms outstrectched over the cliffs edge to the jagged rocks below. ”This is not a moment to refrain from disturbing the serenity of the walk on the basis it causes disunity”, he stated, it is a moment of a rugby tackle if that were possible. If Jeremy Corbyn becomes leader, it won’t be a defeat like 1983 or 2015 at the next election. It will mean rout, possibly annihilation”, he asserted.

Blairs strong warning echoes previous alarm bells sounded by Alistair Campbell for supporters to vote for anyone but Corbyn, likening it unto a bike rider for seeing a car crash ahead and warning drivers in advance. Campbell’s disapproval of Corbyn was so intense that he said the Labour Party would have given up on being a serious party for government if they made the mistake of voting for him.

Meanwhile, the Electoral Reform Society has instructed the delay of sending out ballots in order for adequate checks to be made on new members. There have been suspicions and allegations that many new member are being sent to the party to influence the leadership outcome unfairly, though many of these claims are being countered by an insistence there are security measures in place to filter out any fraudulent interferences. Back bencher, Graham Stringer, has also raised alarm concerning the credibility of the Labour elections. ”The elections has no credibility” he said, pointing out that it is being infiltrated by members of other parties with hidden agendas. He stressed that he does not mind if a democratic process produces Corbyn as the next Labour leader, but indicated that a forced victory through a conspiracy would be unacceptable.

Corbyn’s detractors are a potential hinderence he must overcome if he is to win. Among his detractors is Ms Cooper who has accused him of ”bad economics” , offering ”old solutions to old problems”. She insists his policies are not credible and unfit for the times.

Jeremy Corbyn has been a member of Parliament since 1983 and is also a member of the Socialist Campaign Group, Palestinian Solidarity Campaign, Amnesty international Campaign for Nuclear disarmament, and campaigned against apartheid in South Africa in the past. Supporters of Corbyn are undeterred about the warnings from Blair and any of his allies. One supporter told eye of media ” it makes no difference how much noise is made, those who believe in Corbyn will support him whatever anyone else says. You don’t abandon support of someone because his rivals sayy so, do you?” I think people are starting to panick because of the growing support Corbyn is enjoying, so much that they are using all sorts of tactics to disuade his supporters. However, I think victory for him is almost certain”.

Voting will official begin tomorrow and the results will be announced on September 12.
