Theresa May is hanging onto a landslide victory according to opinion polls. The UK prime minister is leading by two points ,according to the latest ICM opinion that places the Conservatives with 45 percent compared to Labours 35 percent.
May and Corbyn rallied around the country on Wednesday to conclude a seven week campaign for votes . Corbyn attended a total of six rallies from Glasgow to Islington, as he sought to boost his chances of success in today’s elections.
Both political leaders urged voters to defy the terrorists and vote, as she again out Brexit negotiations at the centre of her election campaign.
May herself has done a lot of touring lately, visiting Bradford , Southampton, Nottingham , Norfolk and other constituencies.
NEGOTIATIONS
The message from May is that Corbyn doesn’t have what it takes to handle Brexit negotiations which begin in 11 days time. Corbyn for a long time struggled to have his own party in order only this year when he faced a revolt from his own backbenchers.
He miraculously bounced back after a second leadership contest , and has since fought valiantly for the position of prime minister. After an impressive television debate , Labour went ahead in the polls for the first time last week, but the Conservatives have since regained the lead , though only marginally.
Opinion polls are not always reliable , and some believe Corbyn may be able to pull an upset. Writers from the eye of media.com have been conducting their own final opinion polls around the country, some of them doing this amid other journalistic endeavors today .
