A teenager has pleaded guilty to attempted murder of a six year old after he threw him from a viewing platform of a Tate modern gallery.
Jonty Bravery, 18, pleaded guilty at a brief hearing at the Old Bailey in London on Friday.was remanded in custody by the judge, Recorder of London Nicholas Hilliard QC, ahead of his sentencing hearing at a later date. He was arrested moments later at the 10th story building of the tourist attraction.
The victim, who cannot be named because of his age, is undergoing a slow recovery in his native France after spending months in intensive care. The young kid’s family have managed to raise around £130,000 for his medical treatment, and say he is “now able to venture outside” and has also regained some movement in his legs. The teenage tear away is believed to be suffering from mental health issues, but it remains to be seen how he will be sentenced.
