By Gabriel Princewill-
Tarleton Community staff priamary school staff displayed an alarming level of unprofessionalism when the eye of media.com contacted the school on Thursday.
The school was plunged into a state of sorrow when one of their pupils, Saffie Rousse , was tragically killed in the Manchester terror attacks. We called to express our sympathies over the horrifying untimely death of he young girl, and inquire how they were coping as a school.
We additionally planned to extend our support to the school in anyway possible . However, I was wholly surprised and disappointed when I encountered an unprofessional female staff who lacked both the professionalism and foresight to competently explain why they had nobody available to deal with media enquiries at the time.
The rude lady who answered the phone was imprudent in her careless response to my expressed disappointment. ” I’m not interested in what you think, she arrogantly said , failings g to consider the risk she was unwittingly subjecting the reputation of the school to. Unsurprisingly , she foolishly dropped the phone shortly after.
A follow up call was this time answered by Chris Upton, the head of the school. Rather than inquire what had just transpired between his staff and I, he equally displayed an embarrassing level of shortsightedness in his next question.
LEADERSHIP
The Head of the school , expected to exemplify leadership qualities to his staff, asked who my line manager is. Failing to contemplate the possibility he might be speaking with the manager, I told him I was the boss, before informing him of my definite plans to expose their woeful indiscretion.
POOR
Attitudes as poor as this begs the question of how sound their judgement is delivering a wholesome level of training to their students. The recent tragedy that befell their reportedly amiable pupil was heartbreaking. No child deserves the horrendous fate that pierced the hearts of any humane individual.
SORROWFUL
However, the sorrowful and deplorable act of wickedness to which their pupil sadly fell victim to, cannot excuse their behaviour. Neither can it exempt the Tarleton Community primary a school staff from criticism. They should have known better , and must cultivate the correct temperament in dealing with both the media and the public.
Tarleton Community Priamary school may have received calls from other media organisations, but none would have been negative in their objectives. At a time when the nation is empathising greatly with the school, the disappointment in their terrible misjudgment cannot be stressed enough.
Tarleton Community Priamary school purports to be a good priamary school. Yet , if it’s staff and leadership don’t know how to conduct themselves , his shortcoming is almost certain to manifest itself in their internal dealings.
VACATION
Tarleton Community Priamary school is currently on half term vacation, but we hope the school is able to collectively recover from the huge shock and sadness of their student’ s premature death. We neverheless send our unreserved sympathies and condolences to the school , and wish them the very best of luck.
