The latest murder victim in Southend On Sea had been out of jail, just three weeks, The Eye Of Media can reveal.
Courtney Valentine-Brown, 36, originally from South London, but formerly residing at Oakleigh had just been out of a three year prison sentence from notorious Chelmsford prison for two counts of possession of a Class A drug with intent to supply and possession of a Class B drug.
Mr. Brown was arrested and jailed for possession of 17 wraps of Class A drugs, including eight of heroin and nine of crack cocaine when he was caught and jailed in 2016.
A brief investigation in Southend’s drug ridden streets in 2017 where this publication once conducted research into the history of drug addicts led us to individuals who were able to direct us to those who knew Brown well. Brown, known by the nick name ‘love’ is said by those who knew him to have reflected his name of love.
One pal told The Eye Of Media.Com: ”Love was a calm, soft spoken and loving guy and loving guy. Like most people, he wasn’t perfect, but it is a shame he lost his life so tragically. Another said, he was very good in interior design. H erused to design people’s homes.
At the time of his death, he was residing at the property of a woman whose identity we have , but cannot reveal at this stage. He was eventually attacked with a baseball bat and stabbed in the leg with a knife. The precise circumstances of the attack will be the subject of a court case.
A woman, 30, who was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder, has been released on bail.A 28-year-old woman from Westcliff who was detained on suspicion of permitting premises to be used for drug supply and obstructing a police officer has also been released on bail.
A teenager, 17 and from London, arrested on suspicion of intent to supply Class A drugs, has been released while inquiries continue.
Attempts to save him by rushing the man to hospital failed.
