Russell Brand, the outlandish comedian, who has always managed to be both funny and controversial, has turned a new leaf.
At least, so he claims. The Essex born comedian, political activist, and former sex and drugs addict appears serious when he says he has changed and mellowed down.
His marriage to Laura Gallacher and the birth of his 11-month-old daughter, Mabel has opened up a new side to Brand that he himself didn’t know he had.
“Fatherhood has changed me because I’ve got this whole new person in my life that I’m completely in love with, two people that I’m completely in love with, in fact, three including me – it’s a good thing I put myself last,” he told Wales online , as he releases the publication of his new book. And is his warm interview was twitted around, the eye of media.com was touched by his warm, sensitive like interview talking about family life.
Previously a campaigner for global revolution requiring a wide redistribution of wealth, Brand has spent the past few years calling for radical action on all sorts of fronts, and making far reaching comments and jokes without much care for how it went down. He has always had a serious side, but that side has often been expressed at the price of causing serious upset to particular groups or individuals who had been unlucky to be on the receiving end of his expensive jokes and inherent rebuke.
His latest book, ‘Recovery’ is a self help guide following the 12 step program he applied to his drugs and alcohol addiction.
