Birmingham University Researcher Pleads Guilty To 137 Sex Crimes

By James Simons-

A Cambridge University graduate has pleaded guilty to 137 online sex abuse crimes, including encouraging the rape of a toddler and blackmailing scores of young victims.

28 year old Matthew Falder admitted offences against more than 50 victims.
The strange paedophile, who has a PHD in seismic oceanography- a new branch of research that investigates structures within the water column,  posed as a female on  Gumtree, using this as  a ploy to get people to send him explicit images of themselves. He threatened to expose those who did not send severe and depraved abuse images of themselves, including some that showed babies and children being tortured.
The images he obtained where then shared on sex abuse forums on the dark web, where he used the monikers “666devil” and “evilmind”. Falder’s evil campaign  lasted at least eight years but was  brought to a halt after specialists from the Government’s GCHQ communication spy centre were drafted in to investigate him. His victims suffered serious trauma to the extent of some of them attempting suicide . With all his horrifying proclivities, the educated buffoon still had the desire to join Birmingham University as a researcher, only for his very depraved mind to make nonsense of all his academic achievements.
Let’s be clear, Falder may be quite educated, but he cannot be credited with having a bright mind. Seismic oceanography focus on understanding the components of water structures- it doesn’t require much brains, but a strong passion for that area of science. His first degree in natural sciences at Cambridge University, is centred around botany and Zoology- botany being about plant life, and zoology, more about the animal kingdom, including their classification, habits, and interactions with other ecosystems. It also has other elements  that include physics, chemistry, and geology- which deals with the earth and the rocks comprising it. So, Falder has good scientific knowledge about animals and physics, but is not necessarily a clever man. He treated fellow humans like the animal he really is.
Matt Sutton, the NCA senior investigating officer, said: “In 30 years of law enforcement, I have never come across such horrifying offending, where the offender’s sole aim was to cause such pain and distress.
“There are more than 50 victims in this case and I commend them for their bravery in helping us convict a truly evil offender.
“It has been an extremely complex investigation into a prolific online predator, who over several years believed he could evade law enforcement to sexually and sadistically exploit vulnerable victims.”
Detectives found that Falder had set up secret cameras to spy on victims in compromising situations, but had inadvertently filmed himself setting up the devices.
Ruona Iguyovwe, from the Crown Prosecution Service, said: “Matthew Falder is a highly manipulative individual who used his knowledge of computers and the internet to persuade dozens of young people to supply him with degrading images he could distribute online and subsequently use in blackmailing them.
“He clearly enjoyed humiliating his victims and the impact of his offending, which carried on over several years, has been significant.”
Cambridge University said it was offering support to anyone affected by the case. A spokesman added: “We continue to offer support to anyone who has concerns about the case. The university is deeply shocked and saddened by this case. Our thoughts are with the victims of these awful crimes and with their families, who have no doubt been deeply affected by this.”
Matthew Falder was clearly an obsessed man whose academic efforts will now go to waist.  He is a disgrace to humanity, let alone any of the Universities were he studied or taught. How a young academic achiever can be exposed as sorry excuse for a human being, is hard to take in. A disgraced paedophile who could have achieved something in his field will be openly disgraced for his evil deed.
