Queen Died Of Old Age According To Extracts Of Death Certificate Which Contradicts Royal Biographer Claims

Queen Elizabeth II died of old age, according to extracts from her death certificate.

The certificate says she died at 15:10 BST in Balmoral Castle in Scotland on 8 September – she was 96.

The National Records of Scotland published the certificate on Thursday.

The document was signed by her daughter, Princess Anne.

The death was recorded on 16 September by the Registrar General for Scotland.

Her death certificate also bears the name of her father, King George VI, and mother, Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon.

The document states that the 96-year-old monarch died at 3.10pm on 8 September at Balmoral Castle, Ballater. Princess Anne registered her mother’s death.

It reveals that the Queen died just over three hours before the news was announced by Buckingham Palace in a statement at 6.30pm.

The official record of the certificate is at odds with claims publicly made by a royal biographer, Lady Collin Campbell, who a fortnight ago claimed that the Queen was suffering from “a serious and invariably fatal condition of the bones”, before her passing, which may have been a form of bone cancer.

Campbell said the condition had been ‘induced, in part’ from the stress the Queen has gone through in the past few years, especially regarding Prince Andrew

Lady Campbell, who has written books about Princess Diana and the royals described the suffering as being a “serious and invariably fatal condition of the bones”

No official comment has been made in relation to the claims by the biographer.

Douglas James Allan Glass is noted as the certifying registered medical practitioner. Old age was the only cause of death listed, with no other contributing factors. Glass was an apothecary to the Queen, her doctor in Scotland said.

The clear statement that there was no other contributing factors to the queen’s death would appear to render the biographer’s comments inaccurate.

Lady Collin was also criticised for announcing the queen’s death 90 mins before it was officially announced, evidencing inside knowledge, but also perhaps being too forward.

The time of death confirms the Queen died as many of her family were still travelling to see her. The King, Queen Consort and Princess Royal were at Balmoral because they were already in Scotland undertaking engagements.

The Prince of Wales, Earl and Countess of Wessex, and the Duke of York had flown from RAF Northolt, arriving at Aberdeen airport at 3.50pm and reaching Balmoral just after 5pm.

The Duke of Sussex is said to have arrived just at 8pm, following that row with his father, King Charles III, over the latter’s refusal for Meghan to accompany Prince Harry to see the queen in hospital.
