Hillary Clinton did nothing illegal, according to politico who have been closely investigating Corruption allegations.
The political website ‘politico’ said the investigation revealed nothing illegal, but offered ” fresh evidence as to how the Clinton’s blurred the line between the foundation, Hillary Clinton’s State Department, and the dealings of Bill Clinton and the company’s operations.”
Clinton, whose use of a private email server during her time as Secretary of State, has been under much scrutiny, used a private server funded for by tax payers money, under a statutory act intended to assist former presidents.
The act established in 1958, was allegedly abused by Bill Clinton, who requested more than 16 m dollars, exceeding amounts requested by any other president before.
Excessive as this was, the verdict from politico and legal observers is that any legitimate criticism of the Clinton’s conduct must necessarily be limited to issues of ethics, with no illegalities surrounding it.
Justin Cooper- Bill Clinton’s former aid, who also helped set up Hilary Clinton’s email server, apparently had his earnings supplemented with proceeds provided under the Act, from February 2011 to 2013.
The added news that Bill Clinton received 3.5 m dollars to be the honorable chairman of a notable consultancy firm, Teneo, has further added criticism to the Clinton’s operations, and questioned the integrity of their endeavors at the time.
Yet, none of the extremely high pay outs has an iota of illegality embodied in its dealings. It only smacks of a lack of transparency and raises questions as to why their engagements were dine so clandestinely.
Teneo was able to attract wealthy clients because of their associations with the Clinton’s- enabling the high flying firm to charge exorbitant monthly fees in excess of 250,000 dollars.
So, extraordinary amounts of money was made as a result of the privileged governmental position of Hillary Clinton during her tenure as Secretary of State.
Several ambitious businessmen including her former presidential husband benefited tremendously from it, to distasteful levels perhaps.
However, none of it was illegal and that’s what must matter most. It should have no bearing on her presidential campaign and suitability for the White House, as Americas next president.
