By Andrew Young-
Professional poker player, Dan Bilzerian, has referred to U.S army veteran, Dakota Meyer, as a retard after the latter criticised him for escaping the scene of the Las Vegas shooting in which 59 people died.
Bilzerian has been filmed begging police to help him take down the Las Vegas maniac who brought horror to Las Vegas and inflicted the worst shooting massacre in U.S history.
Footage showing Dan begging police officers to let him help take down the murderer show the poker player trying to play a heroic role in bringing down the maniac. However, Bilzerian ended up having to flee the scene and was criticised by Meyer for running away, and was criticised by ex army veteran, Dakota Meyer for fleeing the scene whilst drumming up to the gallery. Bilzerian, poker player – a social media Instagram guru of over 22 million followers- told his followers he would return to the scene with his gun. He did as promised, but it was too late as the damage had been done and completed. Meyer wasted no time in criticising the poker player, effectively recommending stripping him from any role model status he has
Dakota Meyer received an award of honour in 2009 for risking his life in trying to help evacuate fallen soldiers in Afghanistan. Meyer heavily criticised Bilzerian for the clip in which he was running from the scene. He said:
“This is why children shouldn’t classify heroes by their followers or their photos,.”
“Always playing ‘operator dress up’ and so so tough when the cameras are on. A woman just got shot in the head and you are running away filming that’s not what operators do. Please stop trying to be someone your not. People are dying, you’re running away not helping them and pretending it’s worthy of a video is disgusting”. Now, the poker player has responded by referring to Meyer as a ”retard”, by stating that if everybody had stood their ground there could be 600 dead.
Dan could be be heard in the filmed footage pleading with officers to hand him a gun, but the officers reject his frantic pleas.
The footage also showed Dan getting his wallet out to prove to the police that he has the right to use a gun . Shouting ‘Give me a gun, a police officer replies ‘no, get the f*** away from me right now’.
Dan Bilzerian had taken to Snapchat, to share the horror of the night by posting a disturbing video through the popular social media site. Expressing horror at the sight of seeing a girl shot in the face, he shouts
Holy f***, this girl just got shot in the f****** head.
”This is so f****** crazy. I had to go grab a gun, I’m f***** heading back.
It’s so crazy, some kind of mass shooting. Guy had a heavy calibre weapon for sure.
Saw some girl get shot in the face right next to me, her brains f****** hanging out”.
Bilzerian appears to be in a horror movie film like state, but describing a girl’s brains sticking out after being shot is horrid. The public don’t need to hear those kind of details after a barbaric shooting like that. Bilzerian failed to imagine the feelings parents of any girl killed by that Paddock maniac would feel if they saw his video. His strong desire to shoot the sick maniac may be respectable, but no officer would have ever handed him a gun to do attempt that.
Bilzerick is a known gun lover, but not one who goes out seeking to kill innocent people in the disturbing manner psychopath Paddock went about his ill mission to take lives away for no understandable reason. The spat between him and Meyer is unnecessary. The reality is that Bilzerian is a social media guy who has to make a drama about everything . He saw what looked like the perfect opportunity, and took it. He was a bit over the mark on describing brains popping out of a girl’s head, but returning to the scene after the mass attack was over was truly pointless, and probably for the sake of publicity. Meyer was a little harsh in expecting the poker player to have remained on the scene, but not too wrong in his criticism of Bilzerick playing to the public gallery.
