By Aaron Miller-
North Korea has warned of a “merciless Annihilation” of the U.S, if provocative military operations continue. The warning came in response to news that the U.S have placed nuclear capabilities close to the Isle if Guam, as a sign of a preemptive attached k on the DPRK
North Korea’s prime minister, Pyongyang said it was a sign of imminent aggression and emphasized North Korea’s readiness to respond mercilessly with nuclear weapons if necessary.
The warning heightens tensions between North Korea and The U.S, already reaching boiling point before now.
Korea’s central television network announced.that the U.S was acting as one preparing an invasion, and stated the country’s special armed.forces are ready to use nuclear weapons if necessary.
The statement added that the U.S do not have ” monopoly”over the use of nuclear weapons and that it’s army would launch a preemptive nuclear strike at “even the slightest provocation”.
North Korea recently launched projectile missiles, contrary to the U.N resolutions, in a move that provoked relations between the pair, and brought world peace to a crisis level in need of desperately urgent resolution.
Japan enters the mix of the dispute in a way that inflames the current disarray that threatens to ignite the potential of a world war.
North Korea strongly claims that America does not operate in a way that appears to be committed to the “denuclearization” of military weapons, but rather act provocatively in manner that undermines the shared principles necessary for world peace.
The warnings have been repeated.a few times now, and though the U.S is considered to have higher military and nuclear capabilities.
However, North Korea claim to have sufficient nuclear capabilities, and have already threatened to turn the U.S to a “sea of flames”, if it does not retreat on its.provocative nuclear testing programme.
More scary is the likelihood that other countries could become involved in a bloody war if this dispute escalates faster than it is controlled, and threaten world peace as we know today.
