An Eastern European man has pleaded guilty to conspiracy to defraud banks at the Old Bailey.
36 year old Teofil Bortos, who was part of an eastern European criminal gang that hacked into 51 cash machines over the 2014 May bank holiday admitted his role in the sophisticated scam that saw banks lose thousands of pounds.
The dodgy gang targeted ATMs by inserting malware into them, enabling them to obtain hundreds of thousands of pounds from several accounts.
The ingenious scams took place in cities and towns, including London, Brighton, Portsmouth, Blackpool, Doncaster, Liverpool and. Bortos, from Romania national was nicked in July at Luton Airport by the investigation team, and remanded in custody where he await
