Manchester United And Barcelona Best Two Football Teams
Manchester United and Barcelona were the only football teams to emerge tops from the pool of 12 teams around the world. Eight came from the NBA, and the New York Yankees in baseball. Eight of the 12 top club earners are based in the USA, two in England, one in Spain, and the NBA Toronto Raptors were the only ones from Canada.
The two Manchester clubs are the only Premier League teams in the overall sporting top 30, with Chelsea (34), Arsenal (47) and Liverpool (60) lagging trailing American sports teams- this, attributed to the pound’s fall against the dollar when Britain’s voted to leave the EU. Elsewhere in Europe, Bayern Munich
None of the European teams came close to Manchester United in pay package, but Bayern Munich are German football’s best payers with Juventus topping the league in Italy.
The Cleveland Cavaliers- the brilliant NBA side, have been calculated as the world’s highest paid team. The average first-team pay at the Cavaliers, where NBA super star, LeBron James hails from, is reported to be £6.54m per year or £125,883 per week in the 2016-17 season .
