Man wrote his vehicle off in gang car chase

By Eric King

A man wrote his car off, but survived, as he was  chased by a rival gang in Forest gate.

The man was chased at full speed on Katherine Road, before being chased into Rutland Road where he hit another car.

The full car chasing him then drove past after seeing the havoc caused by the chase. The man in the car being chased was later at a hospital to attend to multiple fractures he suffered.

We found out from the man, who begged not to be named that the rivalry is over a 100-pound debt owed for nearly a month. The man said he owed the debt because he promised to pay somebody else’s debt to avoid commotion but eventually, could not pay it.

He knows the identity of the rival gang, but refused to disclose it to police,  saying “it is against the code, we don’t grass. We deal with matters ourselves”.

It will be impossible for him to deal with this one himself, as doctors have told him he may never walk again properly with crutches. He may decide to set people on the rival gang, who may, in turn, come back for him.

The money over which the dispute was, is hardly worth the hassle at all. What has resulted from it with respect the deteriorated well-being of the victim and the write-off of his car should make him and others think.

He was heading to seven kings at the time where he was going to deliver a ring and propose to his girlfriend of 3 years. she took one look at his legs and decided he is not for her.
