Liverpool’s new manager, Jurgen Klopp has told the Liverpool team to be ”very intense” and ”very aggressive”, and always try to do better”, according to midfielder, Lucas Leiva. Liverpool’s impressive player expressed a lot of optimism in their new manager’s passion and credentials saying ”when a manager like him comes it always gives you a lot of hope”.
The midfielder told the club’s tv channel that anticipation from the team members was high with people excited and willing to learn from him. He siad ”I watch a lot of football. The year Borussia Dortmund arrived in the champions league I remember their games especially against Manchester City in Manchester where they were fantastic. But ofcourse working with him closely now will be even better. Hopefully, I’ll improve as a player. Everyone is looking forward to learning…its still early days. Klopp held his first training session on Monday, leading a group of 9 first team players.
It has been nearly a week since Klopp took the job, so the early boost is at least a good sign. He is due to meet the full squad at their headquarters for a 3day training session ahead of their Barclays Premiere league on Saturday and is due toLeiva believes Liverpool will improve on their 10th place in the table, adding that ”we are not many points behind the top four and even the top”. Klopp certainly has an excellent track record and will do his utmost to motive the reds to the next level. It will be very interesting to see how far his track record actually produces results for them, though it won’t be an easy road with the classy teams that will surely pose challenges for them.
