The leave campaign are on a knife edge victory in this historical referendum. In a referendum that has swung from one to the other, the suspense in this divisive vote has been intense.
After Ukip leader, Nigel Farage conceded defeat, the leave group tool the lead on aggregate, with the leave side ahead by 300, 000 at the time of this writing at 3.30 a.m.
Votes can still change, but the lead pollster has revealed that it is looking like a Leave vote. London, Scotland, and Ireland have all voted Remain in the EU.
Almost all of the North of England have voted leave. The votes have left many in the country on the edge of their seat.
300, 000 is a big gap to fill in a few hours. Early results have made economic markets volatile, with the pound recently dropping after regaining strength in the early hours of the morning.
There is concern that the result can be very divisive, with the losing side feeling cheated and bitter.
