KANYE WEST PULLS IT OFF AT GLASTONBURY

American rapper Kanye West, came through his controversial inclusion among the Glastonbury acts without being booed off stage. In fact, the rapper seemed to have a sufficient amount of fans in the crowd who were very familiar with the words of his of his rap, as they rapped almost every line after the Multiple grammy award winning multi -millionaire.

But West was back to his typical arrogant ways when he told the crowd he is “the greatest living rock star on the planet”. Considering only recently a petition amounting to nearly 200,000 signatures to prevent him from taking part had been signed, it would have been wiser for the egoistic rapper to be a bit more humble this time. Evidently, his ego is too big for humility. The controversial rapper was briefly interrupted by comedian and prankster, Lee Nelson, before he was bundled away by security guards. Nelson later claimed on twitter that he wanted to give West a hand since there had been so many petitions against him taking part in the festival. The comedian also later claimed to have also invaded the stage for Taylor Swift.

Westis an arrogant braggart, though his achievements in the music industry cannot be denied him. He has sold over 20 million albums since his rise to fame, and 100 digital downloads. He has also won 21 grammy awards, making him one of the most awarded artist of all time. It is no wonder he considers himself the greatest rock start of all time, however that is not an accolade he can ascribe to himself. Taylor Swift has sold over 40 million albums and is clearly more dominant than west when it comes to sales of albums. More important than sales is to be likable, and he cannot claim to be that well liked among the general populace. West has managed to outdo most of his contemporaries in the industry, though records are broken all the time, and he cannot claim to be the leading artist in the world a the moment , even if he ranks among the best
