DISAPPOINTING KANYE WEST BOOED AT 2015 BILL BOARD AWARDS

Award winning multi -millionaire, Kanye West was booed after his performance at the MGM Grand for the Bill Awards last night.
His much anticipated feature at the end of the show turned out to be an absolute disaster because of the technical flaws that virtually muted two of his songs- ‘All day’ and ‘Black skinned’. The songs were obscured by pyrotechnics, rendering it one of the worst of his appearances at any live show.

The censorship by the broadcasters seemed harsh on the American rapper, who is probably the world’s biggest selling artist, though there were many thrilled who claimed it was Kanye’s best performance because they could hardly hear what he was saying. Multiple segments of his lyrics were bleeped out, the implication of his appearance really being that he might as well not have been there!

West, who turned off viewers at this years awards and sparked several complaints because of the nature of some of his lyrics, has already been the subject of a massive petition to boot him off the list for this summers Glastonbury festival. The debacle at the respected Bill Awards may be the latest sign that his popularity is dropping big time in many circles. For one so rich and accomplished in the music industry, he is expected to be on the good side of the public’s image, and organisers also should be proud to promote his events with them. On the contrary, there are who seem to be losing interest in an artist that really should be one of the most influential in the industry.

Social media was subsequently laden with a torrent of demeaning comments by fans not the least impressed with his no show on such a big stage. West, who recently took his little daughter to Jerusalem for a water baptism, once claimed on stage to have sold his soul to the devil. And whilst his decision to baptise his daughter seems at odds with the crazy alliance he professed to have with the devil- who at worst represents an extreme encapsulation of evil- some of his antics have clearly not gone down well with many fans and organisers. If the devil really exists, maybe he is paying Kanye back for his alleged commitment to him. He may be paying his comeuppance for his past misdemeanours.

Whatever the true reason for censorship, it was a disappointing show by Kanye West, who many would have thoughts will wield enough power and influence to ensure his performance was smooth and went according to plan. After all, he is Kanye West, with a lotta cash. The 38 year old rapper has won over 20 Grammy Awards as an artist in his 19 years as an artist.
