Johnny Nelson has become a patron of the Nottingham school of boxing.
The former reigning Cruiserweight world champion and Sky presenter appeared at the boxing school to encourage and inspire children.
Nelson spent time on the pads and took a number of pictures with the children, who were only too happy to be pictured with the boxing analyst.
Marcella Baz, who founded the boxing school, is a celebrated member of the community.
He was awarded an unsung hero award at the BBC sports personality award of the year.
He was also awarded the British Empire Medal for services to youth boxing, and to the community in Nottingham.
Baz, a former gang member, told the eye of media.com ” We are proud to make Johnny Nelson a patron of the Nottingham school of Boxing
